Evolving Since 1979: Here’s Help Staffing and Recruiting
2024 WINNERS of the OC Chamber of Commerce Best Business to Work for – Small Business
Carrying the Legacy Forward
In 2023, Here’s Help Staffing and Recruiting entered a new era as Cathy Parlapiano became the firm’s sole owner. With decades of experience in human resources and recruiting, Cathy continues to build on the company’s strong foundation—deepening client relationships, empowering talent, and driving growth across the Hudson Valley and beyond.
This milestone followed the retirement of Kathy Carroll, who alongside Cathy helped lead the firm for over a decade. Together, they expanded Here’s Help’s services, grew a dedicated team, and upheld a people-first approach rooted in trust and results.
Their leadership journey began in 2008, when founder Diana Kornish entrusted them with the business she launched in 1979. Diana, known for her warmth and vision, built Here’s Help into a trusted partner for local employers. She recognized leadership potential in both Cathy and Kathy long before they saw it in themselves.
Today, Cathy honors that legacy—leading Here’s Help with the same heart, integrity, and commitment to connection that has defined the firm for over four decades.

Why did you choose recruiting: I just kind of fell into it, I wanted a job where I can “work in an office and wear nice clothes” but fell in love with the “hunt” of finding the right fit for the client and the candidates- love the fast-paced nature, not one day is the same.
