Building Connections Since 1986
Diana Kornish purchased Here’s Help Staffing Services in 1986, overseeing its growth by building long-standing relationships with local businesses. Diana, known for her hard work and kind heart, eventually retired, selling the business to two women Diana knew would further her mission.
At the time, Kathy Carroll was responsible for payroll and back office functions. She had come to Here’s Help looking for temporary work. Instead, Diana hired her to work for the firm, and watched her thrive as she grew her career in staffing.
Cathy Parlapiano, who came from a human resources background, was managing the office and running an active recruiting desk and she, too, was thriving in her capacity. Neither of the two women had previously discussed running the business, but seeing the vision through Diana’s eyes, they knew that it was the right move for each of them – and for Here’s Help.
Diana passed the reins to “The C/Kathys” in 2008, and for thirteen years, Carroll and Parlapiano have continued to build the business with a strong staff of recruiters, payroll and administrative support staff.

Favorite location in the Hudson Valley? Hard to choose, but I truly think this is THE best area in New York to live, perfectly located to everything. We have beautiful landscapes, small town appeal while at the same time we are close to the city, lakes or the mountains depending on your mood. Great local restaurants, breweries, and things to do literally down the road from where I live. The local shop owners know you by your first name and you can quickly become a “regular” at a new place. Nothing better than that!
